On Tuesday 3 March the students of the sixth year of bakery school who study at Ter Groene Poorte came to visit Deleye Products. To make everything run smoothly, they were divided into 2 groups of 17. In the morning at 11h the first group was expected and the other group came by at 15 o'clock.
Ter Groene Poorte already has many graduated master pastry chefs, such as Carlos Deleye and Roger Van Damme on their list. It was a great pleasure to welcome them.
The company visit started with a short presentation, given by Marketing & Sales manager Fien Vanneste. In the presentation the following was discussed: company and product presentation, more info about our demo days, the new website and e-commerce.
Afterwards, with a production coat and a hairnet on, they went all together towards production. During the production they received an extensive explanation from Nick and the students were allowed to admire everything up close: from raw materials to packaging!
And then the best part of the tour came, namely tasting and trying it out yourself! Our professional demonstrator Joeri Vandekerkhove presented our products, finished with Elements to create a showpiece. Afterwards the students could taste it. In addition to the tasting, 2 students from each group were also selected to do a battle. Who created the best dessert? You can see the results of a few dishes on the pictures below.
And last but not least, they all went home with a nice Goodie Bag!
